How Much Does a Dolomites Day Tour Cost?
A shared day trip from Venice costs about $106 to $268 per person, and a private van starts at $1,063 for the whole group. Here is what changes as the price goes up, and what you still pay for on the day.
A shared Dolomites day trip from Venice costs about $106 to $268 per person, and most fall between $106 and $180. Private vans are priced for the whole group, from $1,063. Lunch is extra on every tour, so is anything you ride at the lakes, and the cheapest seats from Venice were on sale when we checked on 1 November 2026.
The main differences
- A good all-round choice: the Cortina and two lakes day from Venice, from $106 per person (its regular price is $178), rated 4.9/5 from more than 1,150 reviews.
- Most shared tours from Venice cost $106 to $180 per person. Above that, our table has a three-hour Misurina day at $229 and a train-and-guide day at $268.
- Several of the cheaper minivan tours were discounted by 10% to 45%. The Venice coach tour, at $128, has one fixed price, so on sale dates a minivan seat can cost less than the coach.
- Lunch is not included on any of them. Neither are the Misurina chairlift, boat hire on the lakes or the Sass Pordoi cable car on the Lake Garda tour.
- Private vans are priced per group. The most-reviewed one is $1,342 for up to eight, which works out cheaper per person than a $229 shared seat once six of you share it.
- From Lake Garda the coach day costs $95 per person. Riding the cable car to Sass Pordoi adds €32 (about $36).

Which tour would we compare first?
We’d start with the Cortina and two lakes day from Venice. Bea Vita Tours runs it in a minivan from Piazzale Roma, with a viewpoint stop at Pieve di Cadore, a photo stop at the Auronzo lake, about two and a quarter hours at Lake Misurina and an hour in Cortina d’Ampezzo. That is a longer Misurina stop than the other tours at this price. It has the biggest review base on this site, at 4.9/5 from 1,184 reviews.
The tours at a similar price give you less time at one lake or fewer reviews to judge them by. The lakes loop with a drone video from Venice costs $4 more and gives each of its four stops about an hour. The Authentic Dolomites and Cortina day from Venice costs $114, but it is rated 4.2/5 from only 10 reviews, the weakest record among the cheaper tours. Its listing also says the tastings at its dairy and pastry stops cost extra.
Two things to know before you book it. The $106 is a sale price, shown against a crossed-out $178, and the listing names an English-speaking driver, with no separate tour guide. If you want commentary all day, the guided tours below cost a little more.
If price matters most
The Lakes of the Dolomites tour with drone video from Venice costs $110 per person and is the only shared tour at this price whose listing includes hotel pickup and drop-off. It comes with a guide and has 247 reviews at 4.8/5. Each stop is shorter, at about an hour at the Auronzo lake, Misurina, Cortina and a Tre Cime viewpoint, so you see more places and stay less time at each.
If Lago di Braies is the reason you’re going
The Lake Braies and Tre Cime day by Esse Group from Venice costs $120 per person (its regular price is $200) and is the only tour in our table whose listing includes the Lago di Braies entry fees. You get 90 minutes at the lake, a 15-minute stop facing the Tre Cime and 45 minutes in Cortina, in a minivan for up to eight with a driver-guide. It is rated 4.8/5 from 632 reviews. Bea Vita’s Braies and Tre Cime day from Venice costs $10 less, also gives Braies 90 minutes and adds 70 minutes at Misurina, but has far fewer reviews, 51 so far.
If you would rather walk
The UNESCO Dolomites hiking day with drone video from Venice costs $145 per person. A certified environmental guide takes you up to a mountain hut on the Tre Cime or Cinque Torri route, or gives you three hours at Lago di Braies, and the van collects you in Venice. It is rated 4.7/5 from 57 reviews. It suits fit walkers who would rather spend the middle of the day on a trail than on a lakeshore.
If a long, slow stop at Misurina matters
The Lake Misurina and Cortina small-group day from Venice costs $229 per person, more than twice the sale price of the two-lakes day. For that you get a Mercedes V-Class for up to eight and about three hours around Lake Misurina and Lake Antorno with a driver-guide, who picks the Tre Cime viewpoints on the day. It is rated 4.7/5 from 621 reviews. You meet it at Tronchetto; hotel pickup is not included.
What do Dolomites day tours from Venice cost?
Every tour below leaves from Venice and is priced per person. Prices checked 1 November 2026. Operators use dynamic pricing and run sales, so these figures are a guide; check the booking page for the current price. Each tour is linked, with its rating and review count beside it, and a low review count is a reason to read the reviews first, not a verdict.

Two other Venice tours are not in the table. The four-lakes minivan day by Venice Events (4.7/5, 399 reviews) usually has shared seats, but in November its listing showed only the private option, from $475 per person. A new Santa Croce to Cortina listing at $246 had no reviews yet and covers the same road as cheaper tours above.
What you get as you spend more
Mostly a guide who walks with you, a longer stop at one lake or a smaller van. The road out of Venice and the lakes at the end of it change much less than the price does.
Around $106 to $130: the minivan days and the coach. You get the classic route, Pieve di Cadore or the Auronzo lake on the way up, a long stop at Misurina, and Cortina. Most have a driver who doubles as your guide; the coach has a tour guide on board and a bigger group, so each stop takes longer to get going. The Cortina and two lakes day is the one to compare first.
Around $135 to $180: a guide who walks with you. These are the UltraRock hiking and Braies days, with a certified environmental guide and pickup from your hotel, and the Beescover day with a licensed nature guide. The day itself feels different: more time on foot on a trail or around Braies, in a small group. The UNESCO Dolomites hiking day has the most reviews of these.
Above $200: a long lake stop or the train. The Misurina and Cortina small-group day at $229 buys about three hours around Misurina and Antorno, and the train-based day at $268 swaps the motorway for the railway to Conegliano. Neither reaches a lake the cheaper tours miss.
The minivans at the bottom of the range sell at different prices on different dates. When we checked, the most-reviewed of them cost $106, down from $178, so at that moment the cheapest seat into the mountains was also the most-reviewed. The coach day keeps its $128 whatever the date.
What stays the same whatever you pay
Every tour from Venice takes the same road north through the Piave valley and Cadore, and almost all of them stop at Lake Misurina. Paying more does not get you a different set of peaks. It changes how long you stand in front of them, who explains them to you and how many people share the van.
Lunch is excluded on every tour in the table, and so is anything you ride at the lakes. Every listing above offers free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start. The pickup point is a fixed spot, usually Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto, unless the listing says hotel pickup; in the table, only the UltraRock tours include it.
What you pay on top of the tour price
Budget for lunch at Misurina or in Cortina, and for these extras if you plan to use them. Euro prices are converted at €1 = $1.1172 (European Central Bank reference rate, 30 October 2026), so the dollar figures are approximate.
| Extra | Price | Which tours |
|---|---|---|
| Rowing boat at Lago di Braies, shared, 45 minutes | €20 per person (about $22) | Braies tours; boats ran from 25 April to 1 November in 2026 |
| Rowing boat at Lago di Braies, private, 45 minutes, up to five | €55 per boat (about $61) | Braies tours |
| Col de Varda chairlift and boat hire at Misurina | Sold locally, mid-June to mid-September | Excluded on the two-lakes day and the coach day |
| Sass Pordoi cable car, return | €32 per person (about $36) | Excluded on the Lake Garda coach tour |
| Monte Piana snowmobile ride, winter only | €30 per person (about $34) | Optional on the Esse Group Braies day |
The Braies boat prices are the published 2026 season prices at the boathouse. The Sass Pordoi fare comes from the Val di Fassa tourist board’s summer lift table.
What does a private Dolomites tour cost?
Shared tours charge per person, so at the starting price two people on the Cortina and two lakes day pay $212 and four pay $424. Private tours from Venice are priced for the vehicle, so the price per person falls with every seat you fill. The private Dolomites and Prosecco Hills day costs $1,342 whether you are two or eight: about $336 each for four people and about $168 each for eight. It adds a Prosecco DOCG tasting at Valdobbiadene on the way home and is rated 4.9/5 from 245 reviews, by far the most of any private tour.
| Private tour from Venice | From (per group) | Group size | What’s included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cortina and Misurina private day · no reviews yet | $1,063 | Up to 3 | Hotel pickup, driver, fuel, tolls and parking; Alleghe, Alta Badia and the Falzarego Pass |
| Exclusive day to the Dolomites and Braies · 5.0/5, 8 reviews | $1,119 | Up to 7 | English-speaking driver, Mercedes V-Class Executive, water and snacks |
| Private Dolomites and Prosecco Hills day · 4.9/5, 245 reviews | $1,342 | Up to 8 | Driver-guide, private minivan, Prosecco DOCG tasting |
| Dolomites and Cortina guided tour · 5.0/5, 1 review | $2,127 | Up to 6 | Water taxi from your hotel, local expert guide, Mercedes E or V class |
| Lake Sorapis hike with an alpine guide · no reviews yet | $2,239 | Up to 8 | Transport from Venice, certified alpine guide, Cortina afterwards |
For a group of six or more, the Prosecco day costs less per person than a shared seat on the $229 Misurina day. For eight, at about $168 each, it costs less than the two-lakes day at its regular $178. It never undercuts the $128 coach. The cheapest private van, at $1,063, is limited to three people, so it only makes sense if a private car matters more to you than the price.
From Lake Garda, Verona or Bolzano
From Lake Garda, the Likegarda coach day to the Pordoi Pass and Ortisei costs $95 per person, the lowest starting price of the day tours on this site, and is rated 4.7/5 from 784 reviews. It picks up at set points in the lakeside towns and runs 10 to 12 hours. If you take the cable car up Sass Pordoi, the day costs about $131 ($95 plus $36). Its 2026 dates ended in early October.
From Verona, the small-group Seceda and Lago di Carezza day costs $649 per person for up to six. Its listing includes the Seceda cable car (€74, about $83 of that price), Val di Funes and pickup in Verona, Venice, Vicenza or Padua. It is a new listing with no reviews yet.
From Bolzano, private driver-guided days start at $1,455 for up to eight on the Great Dolomites Road private day (5.0/5, 21 reviews), and the Heart of the Dolomites private tour is $1,791 for up to eight (5.0/5, 32 reviews).
If you are already in the mountains, the guided Tre Cime loop from Misurina costs $145 per person with the Auronzo toll road included and is rated 5.0/5 from 34 reviews.
Should you pay more?
Pay more if you want a guide on the trail with you, a long afternoon at one lake or a van to yourselves for a group of six or more. If you mainly want to see Misurina, Cortina and the Tre Cime from the road, the cheaper minivans and the coach show you the same mountains, and the money is better spent on lunch and a boat.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a Dolomites day trip from Venice cost?
Shared day trips from Venice cost about $106 to $268 per person when we checked in November 2026, and most cost between $106 and $180. Private tours are priced per group, from $1,063 for up to three and $1,342 for up to eight.
Is lunch included on Dolomites day tours?
No. Lunch is excluded on every tour in our table. Most tours plan their lunch stop at Lake Misurina or in Cortina, where there are restaurants.
Why are some Dolomites tours on sale?
Several minivan operators discount their listings on some dates. In November 2026 the Cortina and two lakes day showed $106 against a regular $178, and both Braies and Tre Cime days showed $110 and $120 against $200. The coach tour from Venice kept one price, $128.
Is a private Dolomites tour cheaper for a group?
It can be. The private Dolomites and Prosecco day costs $1,342 for up to eight, so six people pay about $224 each, less than a shared seat on the $229 Misurina day. For two or four people, a shared minivan costs much less.
What extra costs should I budget for?
Lunch, plus anything you ride: a rowing boat at Lago di Braies is €20 (about $22) per person shared or €55 (about $61) for a private boat, and the Sass Pordoi cable car on the Lake Garda tour is €32 (about $36) return. The Misurina chairlift and boats run only from mid-June to mid-September.
How much is a Dolomites day tour from Lake Garda?
The coach day from Lake Garda to the Pordoi Pass and Ortisei costs $95 per person, or about $131 with the Sass Pordoi cable car. It runs only in summer and early autumn.
