Pickups run around the lake, from Peschiera and Lazise to Riva and Limone. You have free time there for lunch, and the option of the cable car to the Sass Pordoi terrace at your own cost.

The afternoon stop is Ortisei, the Val Gardena village known for its wood carving and painted houses. The day is long — ten to twelve hours depending on your pickup point.
