The Tre Cime option starts from Lake Misurina (around 400 m of ascent, or a minivan shuttle for a small fee) to Rifugio Auronzo, then over Forcella Lavaredo to Rifugio Lavaredo for lunch, continuing towards Rifugio Locatelli. The Cinque Torri option climbs from Passo Falzarego to Rifugio Scoiattoli and on to the Averau and Nuvolau huts, with a chairlift option. The gentle alternative is three hours at Lago di Braies.

Which route you get depends on the day and on what is open. In October the high huts and lifts close one by one — the Cinque Torri chairlift's 2026 season ends on 11 October — so ask the guide which option is running before you book.

The tour was one of a kind. Our tour guide is very friendly and I loved all the places we visited. I was a bit disappointed not to be able to see the three peaks of Lavaredo a bit closer, as seeing the peaks is our main reason for booking this tour. In the future, it would be nice if all passengers stick to the given sched so you'd be able to see more. In the future, I also suggest that if the time becomes limited for some reason, the guide & the group discuss what could be out of the list. Anyway, I still enjoyed this trip. Thanks to Sherpa!

How hard is the hike?

Moderate: around 400 m of ascent on the Tre Cime and Cinque Torri options at altitudes of 2,200–2,500 m. Braies is flat.

Can I do the Tre Cime option in late October?

Is lunch included?

No. On the hut routes you can buy lunch at a rifugio that is still open.
